Wendover Hills,

Hope you are doing well this week.  I am writing you to let you know that the board and staff are both in agreement to begin offering indoor worship services at a diminished capacity beginning Sunday, July 12.  We recognize that everyone is not yet comfortable with returning to indoor services so we will continue to offer the same quality online service, as well as mix in the occasional outdoor service.

Please watch Pastor Tom's three minute video before continuing to read:  A WORD FROM PASTOR TOM

With the new Executive Order 147 issued by the state on Wednesday of this week, there are protocols we will follow that are more stringent than when we originally began planning the indoor services option.  As a church we want to do everything we can to (1) minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus, (2) follow the direction of our governmental leaders when it does not violate our Christian faith, and (3) share the gospel through loving and serving others.

Allow me to bullet point the specifics of our indoor services option...

- two services at 9:00 and 11:00 will be offered (this allows adequate time in between services to clean the used areas).

- masks will be required in following Executive Order 147.  Our exceptions to this rule will fall in line with the Executive Order.
- no food, drink, coffee, etc. will be offered (water fountains will be closed).  Please bring your own water bottle or coffee if you desire to have it.

- each service will only be able to accommodate 50 people.

- an indoor service sign-up link will be provided in advance of the service date.  Please read through sign up page carefully to give use an adequate number.

- no children's classes will be offered.  Services will be shortened to accommodate kids attending.  Nursery will be available for parents who need it.

- I will be adjusting the sermon calendar to have teachings the whole family can connect with.

- bathrooms will be single use only.

Our hope is that these limitations will only be in place for a short period of time.  Please know that I strongly desire to return to normalcy in the our church as quickly as we can....and I also care deeply about your health and the the health of those around you.  The staff and LBA will evaluate our indoor service protocols each week to see if any adjustments should be made.  In the meantime, however you choose to worship with us, I look forward to serving you as your pastor.  Please feel free to email me will any thoughts or questions.  Have a blessed week.

P.S. We are going to adjust our starting at 11:00 AM beginning this Sunday with our online worship service so join us a half hour later than normal.  This will get us ready (and be less confusing in switching start times back and forth) for July 12 when we have services at 9:00 and 11:00.
